If you would prefer to view this page in Sanskrit, please click the link above. The Sanskrit Conference is an annual event held in the Faculty of Religious Studies of McGill University. This conference has been inspired by the fact that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of India’s constitution, had proposed that Sanskrit should be India’s official language. We see some merit in this suggestion. But this is for the people to decide. We on our part would like to continue the tradition of Sanskrit as a living spoken language. |
